The large hawk eyes are designed to intimidate birds such as geese, pigeons, blackbirds, and various birds of prey. The scarer moves around with wind and reflects and scatters sun rays everywhere.

In order to raise the effectiveness, we recommend that the sentinel be moved to a new location every seven days, after which the scarers should be taken off the field for three days. The requirement is 1-2 scarers per hectare for geese, for other birds they should be placed at intervals of 20-40 m.
